Andre duPlessis brings more than 20 years of experience as a healthcare executive. His career has been focused in acute care hospital leadership and he has been responsible for managing a broad array of complex service lines within the hospital setting including perioperative services, ancillary departments, specialty physician clinics and ambulatory surgery centers. As Regional President for ICON Eyecare, he is responsible for operational performance for all ICON Eyecare locations in Colorado, working closely with practice leaders, clinics, and the patient care center and team to deliver exceptional service and results. He believes in building a strong culture of teamwork, accountability, and customer service to help grow ICON Eyecare as a national center of ophthalmology excellence.
Andre has 20 years of experience with HCA (Hospital Corporation of America). He spent 8 years as Chief Operating Officer of Tulane medical Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. Most recently he served as the Chief Operating Officer of Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center and the Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children in Denver, Colorado. Andre went to University of Texas for his undergraduate studies and received his Master’s degree in Health Administration from Tulane University in New Orleans.
Andre is originally from New Orleans Louisiana and has enjoyed the mountains and outdoors since moving to Denver. He loves to fish, golf, read, travel, hike, and spend time with his family, including wife Kim and four boys.
