Meet Dr. Jason Wang
Named a Top Ophthalmology Doctor by 5280 magazine. Dr. Jason Wang is a fellowship-trained cataract, cornea transplant, and laser refractive surgeon who joined OMNI Eye Specialists (now a part of ICON Eyecare) in 2002. Since then, he has continuously provided ophthalmic surgical care to patients throughout the Denver metropolitan area at the same practice. Early in his career, he helped expand cataract surgery and intraocular lens options by spearheading the practice’s astigmatism-reducing, extended-depth-of-focus, and multifocal lens implant program. He continues to offer both standard and laser-assisted cataract surgery options tailored to the needs of today’s increasingly discerning cataract patients.
Dr. Wang was the first surgeon in the metropolitan area to implant Intacs® corneal segments for keratoconus under an FDA-approved Humanitarian Device Exemption protocol. He also provides full- and partial-thickness cornea transplantation, along with surgical astigmatism management after corneal transplant surgery.
Patients often say they feel more at ease during LASIK refractive surgery with Dr. Wang because he explains each step of the procedure, helping them anticipate what they may see or feel. His calming demeanor and decades of experience provide reassurance and contribute to a smoother surgical experience.
Dr. Wang has built his career around attentive, patient-centered care. By intentionally limiting the number of consultation appointments he schedules each day, he creates more one-on-one time with patients, helping them better understand their options and make more informed decisions.
