Meet Dr. Menachem Weiss

Menachem Weiss, MD is a board-certified ophthalmologist and fellowship-trained cornea specialist. He has expertise in cataract surgery, cornea transplantation, LASIK, and EVO ICL. He also provides general eye care with an emphasis on patient-centered communication.

Dr. Weiss has published research articles in many peer-reviewed Ophthalmology journals such as Ophthalmology, JAMA Ophthalmology, Survey of Ophthalmology, Current Eye Research, Journal of Ophthalmic and Vision Research, and more. He has lectured for local eye doctors here in Denver (Council on Optometric Practitioners’ Education accredited courses) as well as for ophthalmology surgical residents from around the country at Alcon’s headquarters in Fort Worth, Texas.

After graduating from The Ohio State University, Dr. Weiss moved to Ethiopia for a year to work for an NGO. He then obtained his medical degree with a distinction in research from the University of Rochester in New York before completing an ophthalmology residency at the University of Texas in San Antonio. After residency, Dr. Weiss completed a surgical fellowship in cornea transplantation at the University of Miami’s Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, consistently ranked as the best eye hospital and vision research center in the country.
