A pterygium is a dense, benign growth that appears on top of the thin membrane that covers the sclera (the white part of the eye). Caused by overexposure to irritants like dust and wind, a pterygium is not treatable with glasses or contact lenses. Symptoms include vision impairment, burning or itching, and a gritty or dirty feeling in the eye.
Treatment options for glaucoma range from eyedrops to surgery. Your case will be unique to you, and the treatment plan we develop for you will be uniquely yours. Typically, we begin with glaucoma therapy, to preserve your current level of vision and prevent further peripheral, and sometimes central, vision loss. The rest of your treatment plan will depend on the type of glaucoma, the degree to which it has progressed, underlying risk factors, and more.
Dry Eye Treatments
You’ll find many over-the-counter, homemade, and self-treatment options for dry eyes online. However, depending on the cause and extent of your condition, the best way to treat it will vary a great deal. To be safe and certain, we recommend you take the guesswork and risk out of dry eye treatments, and let our experts help you make an informed decision instead.
The cornea is the transparent layer at the front of the eye. It helps control how light enters the eye and makes up a significant portion of the eye’s overall focusing power. This major role means corneal damage or weakening can have a significant impact on your ability to see clearly. Although treatment depends on many factors, some corneal conditions will need to be surgically corrected. Learn more about some of our advanced corneal surgery options below.
We are experts in eye care and eye health, and we can help determine if you have keratoconus or another eye condition. Whether you are suffering from keratoconus, allergies, or something else, we have the resources and the knowledge to help you get back to seeing – and living – the life you want to live.

After undergoing CLE, patients can expect a relatively brief recovery time. Many can return to work within three days of the procedure, depending on your line of work. Over the next few weeks, you will begin to notice a gradual improvement in your vision. Finally, within four to six weeks, patients can expect to see the optimal and long-term results of CLE.

Our son has glaucoma as a result of his port wine stain birthmark. When adolescence and hormones kicked in at 13, so did pressure spikes. Dr. Reyes was quick and decisive. We needed a doctor that was aggressive and knowledgable. Dr. Reyes did so much for us! We are grateful for him! He saved our son’s eye. Thank you soooo much!
